Tanzil Rahman is a Visiting Research Fellow at St Edmund Hall, and the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, where he is currently working on a monograph entitled 'iMigration: Pathways to Post-Pandemic Prosperity'. He completed his doctorate in the School of Geography and the Environment at the University of Oxford, examining how states can maintain competitiveness in the global market for skilled migrants, new models for economic migration policy, and historic narratives on competition for skilled migration across the world. His ideas have been presented at assemblies including the Global Forum for Migration and Development, Metropolis International, and to policymakers and private sector stakeholders widely. He has previously worked as a management consultant, government executive, project manager, and political advisor, and holds degrees in law, economics, and music, from the University of Sydney.
