Robin's work centres on the themes of migration and social identity, diasporas, creolization and patterns of international migration. He is a migrant himself and a son or two more, so his work often reflects issues arising from displacement. He has lived, worked and conducted research in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and Europe.
