Molly's research focuses on refugee resettlement in the United States, both from the perspective of newly arrived refugees and the service providers tasked with supporting them. She studies how organizational structure and policies shape the migration and incorporation of refugees and how refugees interact with the institutions that grant rights and resources. Through extensive community-based ethnography and policy analysis, Molly's work examines the lived experience of refugees at multiple stages along the forced migration trajectory. Her interests include social and economic inequality, international migration, forced migration, organizations, the welfare state, and qualitative methods.
