Teresa's doctoral research is an ethnographic investigation into the lived experiences of China's migrant workers across a variety of borders - both national and international. Focused on Zhejiang province, a hub for both domestic mobility and international migration into Europe, her research explores the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on imaginations of migration, new conceptualisations of (im)mobility, as well as on new return migration trends and the changing spatial logics of emigrant sending areas.
