Alice's research examines forced migration, displacement, and family dynamics in times of crisis. She explores the experiences of Israeli women and children who fled Israel after the events of October 7 and the ensuing war. She introduces the concept of 'privileged refugees' to describe their temporary displacement. Her work highlights how these families navigate uncertainty, social networks, and transnational mobility while maintaining ties to home. Using ethnographic and digital methods, she engages with displaced communities to understand migration decision-making and adaptation. Alice welcomes collaborations on refugee experiences, temporary displacement, and migration policy in the Middle East and Europe.
